Jim Reiter was first elected in 2007 and re-elected in 2011, 2016, 2020 and 2024. In November 2024 he was sworn in as Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance, and he has previously served as Minister of Energy and Resources, Minister of Health, Minister of Highways and Infrastructure and Minister of Government Relations. Before entering provincial politics he was the Administrator for the RM of Marriott and the RM of Pleasant Valley, and served six years on the University of Regina Senate as well as serving his community as a Justice of the Peace and Marriage Commissioner. Reiter and his wife Bonnie reside in Rosetown.
