Daryl Harrison was elected MLA for Cannington in 2020 and re-elected in 2024, and has served as Minister of Agriculture and as Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Resources. Before becoming an MLA he worked in the oil industry for over 30 years, including as an Account Manager with Baker Hughes General Electric, and has been a cattle rancher, rural municipal councillor, volunteer firefighter and school division trustee. Harrison and his wife Cheryl live in the constituency and have six children and six grandchildren.
