Colleen Young

Colleen Young was first elected MLA for Lloydminster in a 2014 byelection and was re-elected in 2016, 2020 and 2024, and has served as Minister of Advanced Education and Minister of Energy and Resources. Before entering politics she served 20 years as a trustee of the Lloydminster Public School Division Board of Education, including 16 years as board chair, and has been involved with the Kiwanis Club, Learning Council and many other community organizations. Young and her husband Kim have called Lloydminster home for nearly 40 years; they have eight adult children and 13 grandchildren.
