Roger Parent, MLA
Roger Parent was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in the 2011 provincial election.
Prior to entering politics, Roger was a business consultant working with a variety of organizations around the province, he also is owner of Canadian Aboriginal Remediation Services (CARES) Ltd. Saskatchewan. He is a graduate of SIAST in Mechanical Engineering Technology and holds a Business Administration certificate from the University of Saskatchewan.
He has been involved with several initiatives within the community including; the Saskatoon Homelessness Initiative Partnership, sits on the board of directors for the Saskatchewan Economic Development Association, SREDA Aboriginal Economic Development Committee, Saskatchewan Committee on Aboriginal Procurement, Métis Nation – Saskatchewan, and most recently as a board member for the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation.
He has been particularly impressed with the Premier's handling of issues related to the economy.

He has served as a member of the Red Tape Committee, Vice-Chair of Crowns and Central Agencies CPC and a member of Crowns and Central Agencies Standing Committee.
In 2014, Premier Wall asked Roger to serve as Legislative Secretary to the Minister responsible for SaskBuilds (Priority Saskatchewan Initiative).
Roger and his wife Sheila have lived in the Meewasin constituency for over 25 years.
